Ward Olson Turkey Trot

Good afternoon Monroe Public Schools family!

Join us for the Ward Olson Turkey Trot, Saturday November 18 at Custer Elementary! Registration will begin at 10 a.m. and the race will start at 11:15!

The race will be staged at the Custer running track on the school’s campus. Students must run/walk the race and finish with at least one family member over the age of 18. If families have children at multiple grade levels, their time completed with the youngest student family member will count. Winners of the individual grade level groups will receive medals and a frozen turkey. We will also raffle off additional turkeys for those who participate. Every student participating will receive a raffle ticket with a chance to win a frozen turkey.

We are asking for a donation of new socks or a small monetary donation to participate in this event with your family. All socks donated will be given to an organization to help with those in need in our community. Any monetary donations will be used to help fund scholarships for youth intramural sports offerings through the Monroe Community Education Department.

Please fill out and return the attached registration form to your child’s teacher if you wish to participate. If you have any questions about the event, you can contact the Monroe Community Education Office at 734-265-3170.
