A message from Dr. Barry Martin, superintendent, Monroe Public Schools.
"The last day of school for Monroe Public Schools is scheduled for Friday, June 5. Originally this was scheduled as a half day. Because the district has to make up about an hour-and-a-half of time due to inclement weather days and delays, the district will follow the one-hour early-release schedule rather than having a half day. This means students will be in school for lunch that day and will be released one hour early as done on the previously held early-release days that have occurred during this past school year. Any fog delays that might occur between now and June 5 could complicate this plan, but if that happens, the district will let families know if further adjustments in the schedule are needed."
