MPS 'places' 21 in county science fair

Congratulations to the 21 Monroe Public Schools’ students who placed in the recent Monroe County Science Fair, sponsored by the Monroe County Intermediate School District.  Hundreds of Monroe County children in kindergarten through the eighth grade entered science fair projects and these students placed among the top.

Kindergarten

First Place – Libbie Lietaert, Manor, physical science.  Second Place – Kenzie Schmitt, Raisinville, physical science.  Third Place – Jayce Hay, Manor, physical science.  Honorable Mention – Madison Mahoney, Manor, physical science. 

First and Second Grades

First Place – Isaiah Graham, Raisinville, earth science; Ahmed Askar, Raisinville, physical science; Rayyan Peracha, Manor, scientific studies.  Second Place – Jacob Harvell, Arborwood, physical science; Third Place – Caroline Wozniak, Manor, physical science; Karri Dafney-Holloway, Custer, scientific studies.  Honorable Mention – Samantha McCullough, Arborwood, life science; Jacob Wisler, Custer, physical science; and Ellen Gerweck, Manor, physical science.

Third and Fourth Grades

First Place – Alexis Schade, Arborwood, earth science; Aiden Coury, Raisinville, physical science.  Second Place – Kierstyn Bass, Custer, life science; and Eli Gibson, Manor, physical science.   Honorable Mention—Patricia Reaume, Arborwood, earth science.
