HOW DOES THE ASSIGNMENTS, HOMEWORK & PROJECTS, AND THE SCOPE & SEQUENCE WORK

Each of these modules can be found in two locations: The first one under the Menus button on your left navigation (the red banner area) and the second one, the Add Widget button, on your Teacher or Departments homepage.

The homepage of your Teacher or Department Page is referred to as a Portal Page. The Menus button displays your current navigation which will allow you to create (add) navigation items to the left side navigation block. When you click the Menus button the Navigation Editor will pop up. The navigation editor has two different areas. The left are is the current navigation. The right area shows the items you can add to the navigation (Modules). When you add one of the Homework & Projects, Scope & Sequence, or Assignments modules here you are creating the left side navigation link. The second location (Add Widget button) will add the content to your homepage or portal page for that widget.

How do these three work together?
 

Homework & Projects Widget – This module is similar to a syllabus – a detailed outline of assignments on a weekly basis. RSS subscription feature.

• Create Homework & Projects Menu first

Scope & Sequence – Like the Homework module this displays upcoming items entered into the Scope & Sequence module. This is an outline or planning guide of the year.

• You can use this alone as a navigation link on the left-hand side. You can rename the link if you choose to 2015-2016 Lessons Outline or something of your choosing.
• Or you can use the link as described above AND a widget on your homepage and change the name to Upcoming Lesson Plans or something of your choosing.
• What this Week’s Learning Looks Like

Assignments – This widget display the upcoming assignments.
